RAPID Protocol is also used as an innovative and highly effective Intelligent Transport technique. The Application Delivery Network nodes at the origin create multiple virtual connections between each other and then use the RAPID Protocol to utilize all of the virtual connections for a single data flow. The net effect is that capacity along a path is fully utilized even high delay or high loss would otherwise adversely affect TCP flows.
