Q/A Technical Lead

The successful candidate will possess the ability to lead a team of QA developers. This role will define overall test strategies and test automation architecture, includes all phases of quality assurance including unit testing, white-box testing, functional testing, defect analysis/fixes and performance evaluation/tuning.

Responsibilities Include

  • Provide overall technical leadership to the QA team
  • Design, build, and manage a test-lab with Linux appliances, Windows/Linux desktops, and routers/ switches
  • Work with development team to design different types of testing for Asankya Linux and Windows- based software.
  • Design, write, and use test-scripts to generate traffic on the test-bed, configure settings on the different elements on the testbed, analyze performance results from the tests, and produce the results in a presentable form
  • Manage bug database, report and file bugs into the database, and interface with development team for bug-fixes.

 

Knowledge/Skills

  • 3-5 years of related industry experience with demonstrable leadership skills.
  • Network analysis tools like Tcpdump, Ethereal/Wireshark, Tcptrace, etc
  • Traffic generation tools like Iperf, Httperf, Netperf, KW, etc
  • Network emulation tools like netem
  • Network analysis tools like Tcpdump, Ethereal/Wireshark, Tcptrace, etc.
  • Experience using Bugzilla or other bug reporting tools

Desired Knowledge/Skills

  • Linux/windows network configuration and administration
  • Scripting languages such as Shell script, Perl, Python, etc.
  • Understanding of network technologies
  • Experience with test suites such as Ixia, NistNet, or other Linux based testing software
  • Cisco/router equipment and CLI knowledge
  • TCP/IP Networking knowledge, Experience with architecting and managing networks with Linux, Cisco and other TCP/IP network systems required, Multi-homing
  •  

    Education

    • Requires B.S. in CS or EE (M.S. is a plus)
